Electronic Service Solutions seeks experienced vehicle installers or recent technical school graduates, veterans with two way radio installation experience for our Northern NJ and North of NYC (Westchester,Putnam, Sullivan, Rockland Counties) markets. ESS is a leading service organization providing two-way radio equipment & systems, Upfitting, Point to Point Voice and Data solutions, Networking/Broadband/WIFI, Voice Recording, E911 communication equipment, In Building Voice and Data solutions, and Tower services providing customers with one stop shop solutions. Successful candidates will be motivated, customer service oriented, and have a clean driving record.
Qualifications:
Entry Level Installer: Basic non-complex installs of radio and other equipment into vehicles. Ability to show up per an assigned schedule, turn in detailed timesheets and work orders after each job, work independently after training, and other projects as assigned by your supervisor. As a customer representative of ESS, you must interact positively with customers and co-workers, dress appropriately, and are prompt for appointments. A valid driver’s license is required. Emails and schedules must be reviewed daily.
Grade Level Installer: The grade-level installer must be able to perform all the tasks of the entry level installer. This level of installer performs installations into more advanced applications, such as fire, police, and ambulance apparatus. This would include sirens, light bars, strobes, cages, and pump panel speaker and microphone (rear controls).
Junior Grade Installer: The junior grade installer includes the above plus must be able to program a basic radio and otherwise be somewhat computer friendly. This grade of installer must start to learn small system installation, such as control station installation. This would include running transmission line though small buildings, mounting small antennas, and basic knowledge of grounding systems.
Qualifications:
- Experienced Installers preferred (radio, stereo, upfitting)
- Recent Graduate or Military Veteran with Electrical or IT Networking Degree considered
- Prefer some experience in the telecommunications or IT Networking field
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Enthusiastic, self-starter with a good personality
- Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
- Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting
- Strong listening and question based skills
- Experience with radio or security systems a plus
- Computer skills
- Clean driver record and valid driver’s license required.
